And, while students are taking a break from classroom learning for the next couple of months, there’s no reason for you to stop learning. Of course, life is all about balance. You deserve to relax this summer! Here are a few tips to make your summer travel planning a little easier on the wallet:

  • Theme parks are expensive – take food and drinks with you! If you don’t want to carry it around, pack a well-insulated cooler to leave in the car and pay it a visit when you need a break from the crowds.
  • Get out of the big cities and check out one of Florida’s natural springs. Most of them allow camping too.
  • Sometimes a great vacation is actually a STAYcation! Be a tourist in your own town and save on the hotel by staying at home. When is the last time you strolled down the main strip or took a bus or trolly tour? We’re surrounded by water…venture out on an airboat ride, take a dolphin tour or plan a fishing trip.
  • Call up an old friend who lives in a different city and meet up for a day of fun. Or plan a house swap for a few days (bonus if they have a pool or ocean view)!

Whatever you decide to do, we hope that you are starting the summer knowing that you are appreciated and that you are making a positive difference.
