Suncoast History:
A Legacy of Serving Educators
In 1934, a small group of local educators founded Hillsborough County Teachers Credit Union. That gathering was the beginning of Suncoast Credit Union’s rich history. Our organization has grown and expanded over the years to include anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships in the Florida counties we serve. Today, Suncoast is the largest credit union in Florida. As we continue to grow, our commitment to serving educators will always remain.
In 2021, Suncoast partnered with Creative Benefits for Educators to provide financial guidance to Florida Education Association members through Educators Choice. Just like the FEA, at Suncoast we focus on our members and put them first. We strive to deliver high quality, comprehensive services from licensed qualified retirement planning professionals. Over the decades, we’ve stood the test of time and have grown to be a strong and stable company that our members can count on.
